About Us

Madrona Children's Theatre

Madrona Children's Theatre was established in 1993 at Madrona K-8 School, in Edmonds, Washington.

The aim of the program is to provide a pathway to musical theatre for it's students - from a young age, Madrona youth have the opportunity to be involved in every aspect of a full-scale musical production.

Casting is open to all 4th-8th grade students at Madrona, and all who audition for the show get a part. In addition to the cast, students are involved in all elements of backstage work, and qualified alumni are frequently invited to play in the orchestra.

Three months of intensive rehearsals result in 6 high-quality shows at the end of March, performed in a full theater with sets, costumes, orchestra and all!
